Morgan and Desiree’s story began long before they ever knew it would — way back in high school, where they shared the same halls, mutual friends, and maybe even a few quick glances, but never actually spoke. Life had its own timing in mind.
Years later, in May of 2022, fate (and a return to the Warren / Fountain county area) brought them back into each other’s orbit. They reconnected, and before long, they found themselves sitting across from each other at a local greasy spoon — the kind of cozy, unassuming place that somehow made everything feel easy and right. That simple first date turned into many more, and on July 3rd, 2022, Morgan officially asked Desiree to be his girlfriend.
By October, they had taken their first big step together — moving into their first house in Covington. Between remodeling projects, long talks about the future, and adventures with their dog Rocko, they made that house a home filled with laughter, love, and the occasional power tool mishap.
Shortly after Morgan’s 30th birthday, they got the surprise of a lifetime — they were expecting their son, Otto. He arrived in April of 2024, just a week after they moved into their new home in Covington, marking the beginning of their next beautiful chapter.
Some months later, after gentle (and not-so-gentle) encouragement from Morgan’s family, he hatched a plan. Under the guise of “running errands in Lafayette,” he bought Desiree’s engagement ring — and somehow managed to keep it a secret for three whole months. During a family trip to Nashville, Indiana, at the town’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony, Morgan proposed to Desiree with help from the event organizers — and even made sure her family was there to witness it. The moment was so magical it even made the local newspaper!
Before they were even back home from the trip, Desiree had already decided: they’d be getting married in December 2025.
These days, Morgan, Desiree, and little Otto spend their time traveling around the Midwest, watching movies, and soaking up every moment with family and friends. Their story isn’t just about where they’ve been — it’s about the home and life they’ve built together, one chapter (and adventure) at a time.
